Initiating Research

MSC research projects are initiated via a number of mechanisms:

  • MSC staff or technical advisory committee have a knowledge gap they want to address
  • A council member organisation or group of organisation have a knowledge gap they want to address
  • A researcher has a project which requires support and its expected outcomes match some outdoor sector requirements.
  • A researcher wants to undertake outdoor based research but does not have a clearly defined question or project.

Contact us at info@mountainsafety.org.nz to discuss further.
