What is Adventure Voice, and why join?
Adventure Voice™ is a dedicated outdoor research community established by the NZ Mountain Safety Council (MSC) and managed by Rangahau Aotearoa Research New Zealand.
Community members will take part in regular short online surveys, sharing their experiences, insights, and opinions on various outdoor recreation topics.
Adventure Voice is a powerful way to connect with you, our community. We want to understand your thoughts and actions when planning, preparing, and adventuring in the great outdoors. Your input will shape our work, ensuring it's relevant and responsive to your needs. Because ultimately, you're at the core of everything we do.
Together, we'll improve safety education resources and launch proactive campaigns, ensuring everyone can explore our great outdoors and make it home safe.
What’s involved if I join?
To stay responsive to Aotearoa’s outdoor community, we need to know how people think and act when planning, preparing and adventuring in our great outdoors. Your opinions and perspectives will help us develop the evidence and insights we need to help keep everyone safe in the outdoors.
As a member of Adventure Voice, you’ll:
- Have your say on a range of outdoor topics through confidential online surveys.
- Contribute to accurate data and insights about Aotearoa’s outdoor community.
- Receive exclusive community updates on our research and insights.
- Go in the monthly draw to win one of 3x $100 Prezzy® Cards.
Plus, you’ll have the chance to win additional spot prizes when you complete short online surveys!
Who are we looking for?
Whether you like short walks, hearty tramps, scaling mountains or riding down them, sliding on snow, or scaling crags, your voice matters. We're looking for people from all walks of life, across all types of land-based outdoor recreation, to give us honest insights about what you do when heading off on adventures, big or small.
Your participation in each survey is voluntary and confidential.
How do I join and complete surveys?
To register, please complete the fields below.
After you register, you’ll receive an email from Rangahau Aotearoa Research New Zealand with a link to complete your registration. This will involve some questions about your outdoor recreation interests. This is the final step to registering as an Adventure Voice community member.
After registering, we’ll keep you updated via monthly emails and invitations to short surveys. How do you ensure my data is confidential?
We know sharing your information with us is a matter of trust. The data you share with us will always be kept private and confidential in accordance with New Zealand privacy laws, and the highest international standards as set by the European Union’s guidelines for data protection. Your data will never be shared with anyone else. You can access your information at any time by contacting us, and you can decide to leave the community (panel) anytime upon request.
